Room for us all

Room for Us All is a poem shaped by the belief that our differences are not fractures but colours—threads that weave a wider, braver tapestry. It speaks to the quiet work of making space for one another, of lifting what has been pressed down, and of listening until every voice finds its place in the chorus. This piece is a gentle call toward a world where justice feels like balance, diversity feels like light, and inclusion feels like an open door that never closes.

We are not copies, neatly aligned,

But stories written side by side—

Pages shaped by where we’re from,

By dreams we chase, by truths we hide.
Different voices, hopes, and skins,

Different rhythms in our speech,

Different paths that brought us here,

Different ways we strive and reach.
Equality is not a favour,

Not a prize for those who blend.

It is the balance justice holds,

So no one breaks, so all can bend.
It’s measured not by equal weight,

But by removing uneven ground,

By lifting those held back too long,

Until the same clear view is found.
Diversity is not a divide,

Nor something simply “checked” or claimed.

It’s the spark of unfamiliar thought,

The strength in what we haven’t named.
It lives in culture, faith, and mind,

In bodies moving different ways.

When many truths are welcomed in,

Our narrow views begin to change.
Inclusion is the daily work—

The open door, the listening ear.

It’s asking who is missing still,

And drawing those pushed out too near.
It’s sharing space, and sharing power,

Letting every voice be heard.

Not speaking for, but standing with,

Backing promise up with word.
Not one way forward, not one truth,

But shared respect, a common aim.

A world made fair by human care,

Where difference carries no shame.
There’s room for all. The door stays wide.

We rise together—side by side.
